"I've gained two pounds in a month, but I've been eating really healthy and excersizing." Carole confided in Kurt over one of their cherished tea 'parties' they had every few weeks when Burt and Finn were out throwing the football around.
Kurt made a face. "I don't understand how that's possible. You've had such a lean diet and an hour of excersize a night.." he stated, making an abrupt pause and meeting Carole's eyes as he took a sip of his tea. "Don't take this question the wrong way, and trust me, I don't like asking it," he began, lowering his voice and continuing, "but have you and my dad been, you know... doing the nasty?"
Carole looked slightly appalled and generally embarassed. She shipped her tea silently, her eyes giving a knowing look to Kurt. "Yes."
Kurt made a face again, shaking his head dismissively. "Are your breasts tender?" He looked at her with a soft, soft look. "Sorry if this is personal for you, just curious over here."
Carole paused. "Now that I think about it, they are... They really are." she answered, her eyes widening slightly.
Kurt stood then, reaching for his keys from the hook on the wall and setting his teacup down. "I'll get a test for you from the drugstore." he said gently. Without any more words spoken, Kurt walked out of the house and drove to the store, picking up a couple different tests.
An hour later, the Hudson-Hummel family had met up in the living room. Burt and Finn sat cluelessly on the couch beside Kurt, and Carole stood before them.
"Carole, what's going on?" Burt asked his wife, smiling up at her lovingly.
"Burt, Finn..." she began, unsure of how to word it, so deciding to come out and just say it. "I'm pregnant."
Burt jumped up, immediately embracing his wife. "Really?!" he asked, a grin on his face, a grin rarely seen. He let go of her only to put a strong hand on her stomach. "That's amazing! I'm going to be a father again!" he stated cheerfully, grinning. He turned to Kurt and Finn. "Isn't it great?!"
Kurt smiled at his father's enthusiasm. "Yeah Dad, I'm excited to be an older brother."
Finn looked surprised and happy, then looked at his mother's stomach. "I'm so happy for you, Mom." he said gently, getting up and hugging her. Kurt followed and soon did the same.
"Another Hummel. Wow." Burt said, grinning at his family. "Our family is really growing."
